All golfers have there own club when involved in a chipping situation,depending on how much practice time you have available i strongly advise you to use only one club,why do i say this?.Well over a period of time you will become an expert with that particular club and will know exactly what you are capable of achieving by using it.

The key points of chipping are to get the ball into the air,my advice here is to practice distance control.Choose a location and lay a small target on the floor.Chip the ball into the target area,standing about 3 feet away while doing so.To be succesfull the ball must land directly on your target,practice this method until you succeed.
To improve quickly you will need to master your short game.Chipping is the key ingredient in the short game.An easier way of chipping is what is known as the "dead- hands" method,the swing is simpler and is much easier to repeat than traditional chipping,the downside being is that the ball does not stop as quickly compared to the traditional chipping method.

2/angle the shaft frontwards a bit
3/apply shoulders and forearms
4/Drag the club through impact
5/Keep your hands and wrist quiet
The benefits of this method is that you are able to practice without being on the golf course,another point is that if you practice during the winter months and become an expert chipping over the frozen turf,just think how good you will be in the summer months.You will be knocking strokes off your handicap before you realise it.!
